U15 Best XI
GK, Marcelo Avalos, San Jose Earthquakes (2009)
Avalos has been the most complete keeper at the U15 level. He has made some big time saves in critical moments and his distribution has been dynamic.
CB, Braydon Stevens, D.C. United (2009)
Stevens doesn't get talked about much, but he has been an absolute brick wall for the D.C. U15 team. He seems to put out countless attacks every time I watch him play.
CB, Gianmarco Di Noto, Columbus Crew (2009)
Di Noto is another center-back that doesn't get as much notoriety as some of the USYNT center-backs, but he has been so reliable and consistent for a very good Columbus Crew U15 team.
LB, Linkon Ream, Real Salt Lake (2009)
Ream has been fantastic for RSL this year, playing right-back, left-back and winger at times.
RB, Tomas Cortez, Chicago Fire (2009)
Cortez is a two-way full-back that always seems to put in an 8 out of 10 performance.
DM, Roko Pehar, Chicago Fire (2009)
Pehar seems to make a big time play every game I watch. His passing skill is among the best in this class.
CM, Kaedren "KK" Spivey, San Jose Earthquakes (2009)
Spivey has probably been the most unstoppable player so far this season. His combination of size, speed and skill have been impossible for opponents to stop.
AM, Paul Sokoloff, RBNY (2009) / AM, Will Ostrander, San Jose Earthquakes (2009)
Two very good players deserved recognition here. Sokoloff is the primary playmaker and goal scorer for a good RBNY U15 team. Ostrander has been dynamic for another top U15 team — San Jose Earthquakes.
WING, Mathis Albert, LA Galaxy (2009)
Albert has been very difficult to stop at the u15 level and he will likely move up to the U17 level this spring.
WING, Omar Hassan, Seattle Sounders (2009)
Hassan has been a menace this year. He has been very difficult to stop one on one and he is highly disruptive pressing high.
CF, Robert Turdean, Chicago Fire (2010)
Turdean is a natural attacking-mid, but he plays mostly as a center-forward for Chicago Fire's U15 team. He has been a prolific goal scorer and playmaker so far this season.
